Daily journal October 16, 2000, It is Monday and back to the grease pits for lunch.

I have had a great breakfast and feel wonderful. It is hard to bypass the fried chicken so brown and tasting so good. Eating out is not the way to go and they put that black pepper on everything as if I liked it when in fact it upsets me through and through, tell them to leave it off please. The government (the FDA) we serve being so smart with their fingers in everything should regulate food and only allow healthy food to be served in restaurants or sold in the grocery stores. If the medical profession had any sense at all, they would know the ingredients of food and prescribe the food cure and not synthetic medicine. I know that our cells are dying everyday and the body must have the original foods to replace the cells that die naturally. In every case if the body is starved of minerals like the original natural substance in creation, then we will age faster and be sick and tired.

I met again with the service man at the local Lincoln dealer to talk about my continuing problem with brakes on my car pulling to the left I was told that for the first two years this car was out that many were fixed from pulling to the right as their bulletin advised. I asked if they were recalled but the answer was no, but they were fixed before the recall.

This raises more questions as to what the problem was and what they did to fix it. My car is surely not the only one to give this problem. I made an appointment to leave it with them 10 days while I am in Europe. They promised to check it out again to see if they can find the problem and fix it under warranty from the brake job I paid them for.

Let prayer be on our mind. Dear Lord, save us from a corrupt and sinful world.

A phone call from Furman University by a student with an inquiry about water quality in the Reedy River, Lake Hartwell and Keowee Toxaway in the next counties. The bottom line is an increase in water rates by $50 per year to clean up the rivers. I responded by saying the sewer disposal rates are already criminally high and I do not favor any increase that people must play across-the-board for city water and sewerage disposal. The city water system is a racket of great profit for some people and should be reduced. I thought it was against the law to pollute the streams and rivers already. Most of the time when you get a call it is selling something and my answer is always no. This has been a quiet election-year since the primaries, not one presidential advertisement has appeared on TV from what I've seen. I think Bush being ahead does not want to mess up. I think Gore is spending his time and money in more important states. Most politics in my opinion are fixed and our votes are of no use. The petty issues argued are so silly. There's no choice.

From the teachings of Christ in Mathew 5- 27"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shall not commit adultery;28-But I say unto you, that whosoever look on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29-And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee; for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell". The teachings of Christ career specify and no man can argue with this Scripture.

Applying this to the community or the church today is very difficult because the church does not teach the inspired Word of God in the disciplinary chapters and verses. Church doctrine is altered like politics and what is left is of very little value. When you alter life or Scripture, you may get zero liked our genetically altered vegetables may not have God put in them. Altered fruits may not have vitamin C that God created in it from Genesis. A friend of mine sits out the 6:00 PM news sayingot haveo biased, he prefers not hear it. I like it quiet at the time to meditate without having my head filled with propaganda.
